Alana Bunte (born 2 October 1990) is an American model.[1][2]

Early life and education

Alana was born in Newport Beach, California, to an American father and a Colombian mother. She graduated from Laguna Beach High School and then attended Central Saint Martins in London to study Art and Design. She was discovered at 14 at the US Open of Surfing but took time off to finish her studies before starting her fashion career in 2012.[3][4]

She was once an intern at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).[5] She was also a freelance writer for Harper’s Bazaar.[6]


Alana has worked with fashion photographers including Arthur Elgort, Giles Bensimon, Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber, Sølve Sundsbø.[7]

Alana has walked for brands including Louis Vuitton, Carolina Herrera  Alexis Mabille, Maison Martin Margiela, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and others.[7]

Alana has been photographed for fashion magazines including Vogue magazines worldwide.[8] She appeared in editorials for Love Magazine, I-D, Numero, The New York Times Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, Vanity Fair and others.[7][9]

She was on the covers of Dansk and Tush.[10] She appeared in ad campaigns for Inditex company, Oysho Gymwear.[11]

Bunte appeared in the look books for Maiyet, Barney’s NY, and Kenzo.[12][13][14]

Personal life

On June 22, 2017 Alana got engaged to Prince Casimir, son of Alexander, Prince zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and Countess Gabriela of Schoenborn-Wiesentheid.[15][16][17]
