Adamu Garba II (born in Jimeta, Adamawa State on 6 June 1982) is an IT Entrepreneur. Garba II is the CEO and Founder of IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited.[1][2]

Garba II was born at Luggere ward, Jimeta, Yola-North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria. The name of his parents are Alhaji Adamu Jauro Garba and Hajiya Hadiza Garba.[3] Both of his parents are Islamic scholars. His father was a chief and his mother was a petty trader. He grew up in a rural town. Chores like fishing and fetching firewood were a daily routine.[4] At 24, he left home for Apapa, Lagos to begin his professional life.[5]

Garba II attended Almajiri school until he was 8, when he switched to a conventional school.[6] He had his elementary school education at Jambutu primary school and Luggere primary school, then moved on to Doubeli secondary school where he finished in 2001. He progressed to Kano State University of Technology, Wudil in a bid to attain a degree in Electrical Engineering. His education at the university ended abruptly in the third year when Garba II got rusticated after a riot broke out. In 2005, he enrolled into NIIT Kano for the continuation of his education. He studied Microsoft Systems and technology, attaining its MSCE certification.[7]

Adamu Garba II is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited, a cloud computing company, headquartered in Lagos. He sojourned into professional practise at 24 when he moved to Apapa, Lagos. He traversed several jobs in varying industries ranging from IT to oil and gas for 2 years before settling for creating his own IT firm based on the certification he had already acquired.

IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited was licensed and endorsed by the Oxford - a United Kingdom-based Europe Business Assembly (EBA). This earned the company a 1-year tenure license valid from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2018.[8]

Politics[edit | hide | edit source]

In February 2018, Garba declared his intention to run for President of Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was 35 years at the time and the youngest to declare in aspiration. He was relatively unknown until he announced his aspiration citing the need for youths to take over the realm of leadership and for the old politicians to retire as one of the reasons for him stepping up.[9]
