Alexandra Albu or Aleksandra Albu is a Moldovan-born Russian mixed martial artist.[1]

Albu is part of the Romanian community in Moldova. Albu means The White in Romanian. She went to represent Russia after several years of training in Moscow.[2]

Early career[edit | hide | edit source]

Alexandra has competed in karate competitions as well as crossfit and bodybuilding.[3]

Ultimate Fighting Championship[edit | hide | edit source]

Albu was expected to make her promotional debut against Julie Kedzie on at UFC Fight Night 33 on December 6, 2013. However, Albu was forced to pull out of the bout due to a knee injury.[4]

Albu made her eventual debut on April 11, 2015 at UFC Fight Night 64 against Izabela Badurek.[5] Albu defeated Badurek in the second round with a guillotine choke.[6]

Albu is currently a student at the Academy of Intellectual Property. Her nickname Stitch comes from the fictional character Stitch from the movie Lilo & Stitch.
