Andrew J. Sordoni III (born May, 24 1943) is an American businessman, philanthropist and art collector.

Sordoni has held executive positions in the construction industry for nearly 50 years and has served as a director for numerous public corporations. Among them, United Penn Bank; Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company; Harsco Corporation and Aqua America. Further, he served the organized business community as a director of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry for 40 years and has been a leader of numerous initiatives to promote economic development and private sector jobs, including The National Alliance of Businessmen, The Pennsylvania Business Roundtable, and Keep Pennsylvania Working.

Since 1974, Andrew J. Sordoni III has headed the Sordoni Foundation, Inc., which is devoted to philanthropy in arts and culture, education, health care, social services, nature and the environment. The responsibility has allowed Sordoni to espouse numerous charitable causes and to support initiatives for change in health care and the delivery of important life-supporting services to the public
Art Collection[edit | hide | edit source]
An enthusiastic art collector, Sordoni is devoted to American Illustration and Comic Art. His long-time affiliation with the Sordoni Art Gallery at Wilkes University has been highlighted by programs which combine the visual arts with jazz music, as well as historically relevant presentations often involving Pennsylvania artists.
Chiaroscuro Records[edit | hide | edit source]
In support of America's classic music, jazz, Sordoni has organized clinics, concerts and programs at various venues, which include schools, concert halls and the public radio network. On a professional basis, he produced recordings for Chiaroscuro Records and wrote and produced an annual program, Christmas Music: The Jazz Feeling, for distribution to National Public Radio (1984–2004). Chiaroscuro Records now belongs to WVIA-FM where the music can be heard worldwide.
