In 2006 he began his own work and founded website. Currently it is one of the most popular military-related websites. It provides details about modern tanks, armored vehicles, warships, helicopters, aircraft, military trucks, specialized vehicles and small arms. Back in 2006 it was among the first websites of its kind to embed video clips on its pages. Although this concept isn't novel, at the time Andrius Genys wanted to improve the state of how weapon systems were presented online. Prior to sites like Military-Today, printed source books by Jane’s were the most reliable texts for information on modern weapons.[2]
